Agate is a stone that comes in dozens of different varieties. It’s appearance will depend on where the stone was mined and what other minerals were present during the formation of the Agate. The majority of Agates are found with banding of colors. They tend to have a smooth texture that can range from waxy feeling to glassy. Some agates also have small microcrystalline structures inside such as little caves and crevices. Often, agates are dyed into bright, ultra vibrant colors such as teals, pinks and purples.
Metaphysical properties: Agates can be grounding and bring about stability in all aspects of life. It balances energies and harmonizes the positive and negative. Each individual form of agate will have additional properties based on the color and type of agate it is.
